     Juanita J. Henson married Bill Souders. She died on 12 October 2025 at Hagerstown, Washington, Md.; Juanita Jean (Henson) Souders, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was born on February 22, 1937, in Hagerstown, MD. She was the daughter of the late Ellsworth H. Henson and the late Hazel Annabell Henson Knight. Juanita graduated from Hagerstown High School, in 1955. After graduation, she worked at First Federal Bank in Hagerstown before becoming a full-time, homemaker whose work was never confined to the indoors. Later in life, she enjoyed teaching aerobic dance, working as a part-time fitness instructor for Hagerstown Community College and the City of Hagerstown Parks and Recreation teaching exercise and weight training; eventually working at The Arc of Washington County as a water aerobics instructor teaching seniors and the developmentally and physically challenged. She found great pleasure in teaching exercise and spent countless hours listening to music, choreographing her own routines, making a multitude of friends along the way. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Charles William Souders, son Charles William Souders II (Chuck) and wife Natalie Nuckels Souders, daughter Mary Elizabeth Nadzam and husband John Andrew Nadzam Jr; Grandsons Croix Emerson Souders, John Andrew Nadzam III, Adam Tyler Nuckels and Wyatt Taylor Nuckels, Granddaughters Isabella Jane Spinelli, Madison Hope Nuckels, and Alison Annette Baylor, as well as many nieces and nephews. Juanita was preceded in death by her sisters, Deborah Prue (Debe) and Delores Snyder. At Juanita's request there will be a private committal service for immediate family only and a celebration of life to be held Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 1-4pm at Maplegrove Estate Community Center in Smithsburg, MD. Light fare and refreshments will be served at the celebration. Please remember to bring your memories of Juanita to share. Arrangements have been made with J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD.
