     Charles Franklin Fogle Jr. was born on 3 November 1937. He married Beverly Bowers on 10 October 1982. He died on 7 January 2018 at age 80;

Charles Franklin Fogle Jr., 80, passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born Nov. 3, 1937, in Funkstown, Md. On Oct. 10, 1982, Charles married the love of his life, Beverly (Bowers) Fogle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Franklin Fogle Sr. and Virginia (Kline) Fogle; and his brother, Larry Fogle.

He worked for the Maryland State Highway Administration for 50 years as the road maintenance chief in Hagerstown, Md.

Charles served in the U.S. Army, was a big Carolina Panthers fan, and loved to fish and go crabbing. He loved his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacey White and husband, David, of Hagerstown; stepdaughters, Pamela Kline and husband, Lynn, of Williamsport, Md., and Telissa Mallett and fiancé, Shannon, of Middleburg, Fla; stepson, James Sisler Jr. of Hagerstown; three grandchildren he raised as his own, Miranda (Mandi) Ferguson and husband, Randy, of Charlotte, N.C., Ryan Lewis and fiancée, Amber Adams, of Gastonia, N.C., and Samatha Jackson and husband, Ron, of Falling Waters, W.Va; two brothers, Mike Fogle of Savannah, Ga., and David Fogle of Pooler, Ga; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Charles will always be remembered for his incredible sense of humor and his gentle heart and kindness that touched family members, friends and countless others.

A memorial service will be Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 1915 Oakdale Road, Charlotte.

A second memorial service will be Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Cornerstone Community Church, 20519 Beaver Creek Road, Hagerstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

Condolences for the family can be offered at
