WALLICK, John E. Jr., 72, of Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away December 14, 2009, in Dade City, Fla. He was born September 15, 1937, in Hagerstown, Md., to John E. Sr. and Ruth (Horst) Wallick. Mr. Wallick was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked at Continental Can Company and was also an auctioneer. He trained Standard Bred race horses including "Don' t Bug Me" who set a world record for a horse driven by a woman driver and Pompano track record for aged pacing horses. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lillian D. Wallick of Zephyrhills, Fla; two children, Wesley A. Wallick of Zephyrhills and Jacqueline (Louis) Potenziano of Tampa; granddaughter, Beth Anne Bennett of Tampa; brother-in-law, Leonard Days and sister-in-law, Donna Days; and two nephews, Randall Days and Allan Days. He was predeceased by his parents, John E. Sr. and Ruth E. Wallick. Funeral services will take place at

11 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2009, at Whitfield Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2009, at the funeral home, prior to the service. Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
