     Marvin Allen Twigg married Mrs Twigg. He died on 9 October 2015; Maugansville, MD – Marvin Allen Twigg, 78, of Maugansville, MD passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Julia Manor Nursing Home Hagerstown, MD.

He was born on March 8, 1937 in Hagerstown, MD to the late H. William and Katherine Warrenfeltz Twigg.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Marie Younker Twigg in March 2004.

He was a 1955 graduate of Hagerstown High School.

He retired from the Maryland State Police after many years of service as a Trooper and other capacities.

Marvin was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He attended Marlowe Assembly of God Falling Waters, WV.

He was a member of FOP Lodge #88 Hagerstown, MD, Maryland Troopers Association, AARP. He was a former member of Dixon Troxell Post #211 American Legion Funkstown, MD and a former member of Blue Knights Motorcycle Club.

He was an avid Nascar fan and his favorite driver’s were Dale Sr. and Dale Jr. Earnhardt.

He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and had won many flat track motorcycle races up and down the East Coast when he was a young man.

Marvin loved animals and enjoyed the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife Carol Smiley Twigg married July 16, 2005 of Maugansville, MD; daughter Diane M. Biser and her husband Terry of Leitersburg, MD; step daughter Paula W. Berger of Falling Waters, WV and step son Robert W. Phillips and his wife Shelly of Martinsburg, WV; brothers Donald Twigg of Florida and Robert Twigg of Hagerstown, MD; granddaughter Tara M. Biser; step grandchildren Jessica Burkhart, Hayley Phillips and Gunnar Berger; step great granddaughter Isabella Burkhart; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery Hagerstown, MD on Thursday, October 15, 2015at 10:00 am with Pastor James Lloyd officiating.
