     Becky Ann Setzer was born on 23 May 1936. As of 28 December 1958,her married name was Biggs. She married Willoughby H. Biggs Jr. on 28 December 1958. She died on 31 December 2009 at age 73; Rebecca Ann Setzer Biggs

Rebecca Ann Setzer Biggs, 73, of Lenoir, passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital after an extended period of declining health.

She was born in Caldwell County to the late Clyde Setzer and Pearl McDaniel Setzer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Christie Lynn Biggs of Stockton, Calif; and a brother, Douglas Setzer of Lenoir.

Survivors include her husband, W.H. Biggs Jr. of the home; her sons, W.H. Biggs III and his wife Lisa of Marion, Douglas Scott Biggs and his wife Debbie of Baton, and Eric David Biggs of Lenoir; a sister, Jackie Harris of Lenoir; grandchildren, PO2 Anthony S. Biggs (USN) and wife Jill of Hampton, Va., W. Harland Biggs IV of Butner, N.C., and Brittany Mae Biggs of Baton; step-granddaughter, Sarah Vess of Marion; and step-great-grandson David Vess of Marion.

Becky enjoyed life to its fullest, loved her family and enjoyed the company of her friends, traveling, camping, the ocean, sports and outdoor activities rounded out her life. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Lees-McRae Junior College.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at 3 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Steve Austin officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Her cremains will be scattered at sea by the U.S. Navy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony S. Biggs, W. Harland Biggs IV, Terrel Harris, Timothy Harris, Jon C. Lawing and Chris L. Staines.
