     Keller Earl Banzhoff was born on 4 September 1936. He married Clarabelle Belle Morgan on 20 April 1957. He died on 18 January 2018 at age 81; Keller Earl "Chub" Banzhoff, 81

Keller E. “Chub” Banz-hoff, 81, of Smithsburg, Md., passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at his home.

Born Friday, Sept. 4, 1936, in Williamsport, Md., he was the son of the late Keller Edgar Banz-hoff and Frances Geneva (McCulley) Banzhoff.

He was a graduate of Hagerstown (Md.) High School.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Chub retired from Hagerstown Book Binding Co. in 2002 after 32 years of service. After retirement, he was employed by Sharrett Automotive in the auto parts division for 10 years.

He was a founding member of Paramount Brethren in Christ Church for the past 48 years, and is a past deacon of the church.

He was past president of Smithsburg Little League and past Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 14 in Smithsburg.

Chub is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Clarabelle “Belle” (Mongan) Banzhoff, whom he married April 20, 1957; sons, Timothy Banzhoff and wife, Gina, James Banzhoff and wife, Misty, and Joseph Banzhoff and companion, Angie Myers; brothers, Carl Banzhoff, Ronald Barnhart and Robert Barnhart; sister, Ruth Knepper; grandchildren, Shannen Banzhoff, Joshua Banzhoff, Jared Banzhoff and Brelyn Guyer; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Russell Barnhart; two sisters, Emma Banzhoff Dowler and Betty Banzhoff Slick; and one grandson, Dylan Guyer.

Services will be Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Paramount Brethren in Christ Church, 19106 Longmeadow Road, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Jacob Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg.
