     Kenneth W. Larkin was born on 19 November 1937. He died on 8 August 2015 at age 77;

Kenneth Wayne Larkin 77, of Princess Anne, MD and formerly of Hagerstown, MD, died on August 8, 2015. He was born on November 19, 1937 in Hagerstown. He was the son of the late Charles Larkin and LaRue Settles Domaruk. He was educated in Washington County Schools and received his Diploma in the United States Navy. He retired in 1990 from the Maryland Department of Corrections after 23 years of service.

He worked at Maryland Correctional Institution (MCI) and Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI ).

He was a life member of Maryland Classified Employees Association (MCEA) and he continued to be an advocate for Maryland State Employees after retirement by working for the union. He and his wife Lelia were proprietors of L&K Deli in Hagerstown, and Spike's Pub and Subs in

Princess Anne.

Mr. Larkin was an avid golfer and a member at Winter Quarters Golf Course in Pocomoke, a diehard Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins fan. He was a member of Redmen Tony Tank, Tribe NO. 149 of Fruitland. In addition to his wife of 32 years, Lelia Stevenson Fratianni, he is survived by 7 children;

Wanda McCarbell, Mark & Stacey Staley, Brett Fratianni, Kenneth Larkin Jr. & Beth Givens, Denise Benner & Robin Kennedy, Teresa & Brian Delosier and Mike & Becky Larkin. Special Friends, Bobby & Bonnie Wells, adopted grand-daughters Jessica & Sarah Wells; and his dog Rusty. 11 grand-children; Jennifer Wagner, Candice Hockman, Beth Imler, Sherri & Terry Winters, Michael, Sydney and Morgan Larkin, Danielle and Derrick Mentzer, Brittany and Bethany Delosier. 16 great grand-children; Corey Garland, Briella Wagner, Jaxson Winters, Hayden Loewendick, Trey and Hope Thornton, Bryce Miller, Logan Bakner, Tyler Moates, Payton, Aydin and Landyn Mentzer, Jason and Brandon Staley, Holly Miller and Jessica Shindledecker. He also loved the many little feet of Lil's Little Angel's.

Preceding him in death was his first wife, Pauline Kaiser Larkin, sister, Michele Stevens, son, Steve Staley grand-daughter, Megan Larkin, grand-son, Dana Mentzer, and son-in-law Todd Boward.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday August 13, 2015 at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. N., Hagerstown, MD.

Services will be held Friday August 14, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Adamczyk officiating.

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
